“Dancing With the Stars” pros Peta Murgatroyd and Julianne Hough tied the knot with their respective partners, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Brooks Laich, on the same day.

Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy’s wedding ceremony took place at the Oheka Castle in New York. It was attended by fellow pros Tony Dovolani, Jenna Johnson and Sharna Burgess, as well as “Dancing With the Stars” alums Rumer Willis, Nyle DiMarco and Candace Cameron Bure. In May, Murgatroyd explained why they chose to hold their wedding at the Oheka Castle. While speaking with People, the professional dancer said, “Maks has loved this place for years and I took on the suggestion and I fell in love with it immediately. I had never thought of being married in a castle, but my jaw dropped when I first saw it.”

Meanwhile, “Dancing With the Stars” former pro and current judge Hough also wed her fiancé, Brooks Laich, on Saturday, July 8, near the Coeur d’Alene in Idaho. Their ceremony was attended by Hough’s brother, Derek Hough, and best friend, Nina Dobrev. The couple’s dogs, Lexi and Harley, were also present.

While speaking with People, Hough admitted that she never thought of her wedding as a kid. “But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life,” she said.

When asked why they decided to hold their wedding outdoors, Laich explained, “It was very important for me to hold our wedding outdoors. Julianne and I are very adventurous and free and wanted the setting to be in nature.”

Hough and Laich announced their engagement in August 2015. At the time, they have already been dating for over a year. On her Instagram account, Hough posted a photo of herself being carried by Laich. In the snap, the professional dancer also shows off her engagement ring.

During another interview with People post-engagement, Hough said that her whole world turned upside down when she met the professional hockey player. “I never really believed in the saying ‘when you know, you know,’ but my whole world turned around the minute I met Brooks. It was instantaneous,” she said.
