KEY POINTS

  • Players will have to beat Starscourge Radahn to complete this questline
  • Sellen's sorceries will still be available for purchase regardless of the quest's outcome
  • Rewards will vary depending on who players choose to side with at the end

Sorceress Sellen is one of the named NPCs in “Elden Ring” who has one of the lengthier sidequests players can progress through. But this questline is fairly obscure, making it somewhat easy to miss.

Players can encounter Sellen very early in the game. She is located inside the cellar at the Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave. This area is found on the side of the road where the procession caravan spawns. Find the stairs that lead to the cellar and beat the boss to gain access to Sellen as a vendor for sorceries.

Players will need to go to Mt. Gelmir much later in the game to find the Comet Azur spell from Primeval Sorcerer Azur. He can be found in the Hermit Village next to a Site of Grace past a Demi-Human Queen field boss.

After obtaining the spell, return to Sellen and agree to go on a journey with her. Then, go northeast of the Church of Plague Site of Grace in Caelid and look for a graveyard guarded by a mage. Find the tallest headstone in the graveyard and hit it to open up a secret passage to the Sellia Hideaway. Proceed through the dungeon and mind the illusory walls to reach Lusat at the end.

Next, return to Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins, then visit her real body at the Witchbane Ruins, south of the Fourth Church of Marika at the Weeping Peninsula. Talk to Sellen there to receive an important quest item.

Take the item to the Seluvis’ secret basement at Three Sisters and plant it inside the doll that looks like Sellen.

Afterward, defeat Starscourge Radahn and speak to Jerren, the festival’s host at Redmane Castle. Exhaust his dialogue before returning to the Witchbane Ruins to find him there.

Lastly, head to the entrance to Rennala’s boss room at the Raya Lucaria Grand Library. There should be two summon signs there, one for Sellen and another for Jerren. Summoning one will pit the player against the phantom they didn’t summon. Finish the combat encounter to end the questline.

The final rewards for the quest will depend on who the player decides to side with during the final battle, but both endings will always drop the Glintstone Sorcerer’s Crown.
