Elon Musk has reignited his feud with Bill Gates, this time criticizing the Microsoft co-founder of making light of his attempts to short Tesla stocks.

Musk hit back at Gates after the billionaire made the comments during an interview with French YouTuber HugoDécrypte, where he claimed he funneled more money into climate change than anyone, including Musk.

Musk responded on Twitter with a “Sigh.”

In the interview with HugoDécrypte, Gates said, “I give a lot more to climate change than Elon or anyone else. I give a lot of philanthropic dollars, I back companies – you know electric cars are about 16% of emissions, so we also need to solve that other 84%.”

Musk has contended that Gates has made a “half-billion dollar” bet against Tesla, which he claims is why he turned down an offer to partner with the tech billionaire on a philanthropic effort in late April.

A text conversation between Musk and Gates was revealed on Twitter, which the Tesla CEO confirmed was real. Here, Musk confronted Gates over his purchase of $500 million in shorting stock against his electric car company.

In the text exchange, Musk said he couldn’t take Gates’ philanthropic offer seriously when he had “a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change.”

Gates responded by saying, “Sorry to say I haven’t closed it" yet, adding, "I would like to discuss philanthropy possibilities.”

The text exchange between the two billionaires occurred just days before Musk took to Twitter again to slam Gates by posting a tweet that compared him to the “pregnant man” emoji.

Musk is the richest person in the world with a net worth of $211 billion, beating Gates who is the fourth richest person in the world with a net worth of $123 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
