Former President Donald Trump is known to dabble in political and celebrity gossip. Now he is dropping his two cents on the affairs of the British royal family, specifically on the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In a clip from a recent interview set to air Monday night on TalkTV's ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’, Trump was asked to weigh in on the couple. He called their marriage a "ticking time bomb" that will blow up unless Harry decides to stop being led around "by the nose" in his marriage.

“I’m not a fan of Meghan, and I wasn’t from the beginning. Poor Harry is being led around by his nose. And I think he’s an embarrassment,” he was quoted as telling host Piers Morgan.

“Harry is whipped like no person I think I’ve ever seen,” the former president added.

Trump went even farther by saying that he thought Queen Elizabeth should strip the couple of their royal titles. He said they were “disrespectful” of the United Kingdom, which should be sufficient grounds for removal.

Trump’s disdain for Markle is deep-seated. In September 2020, then-President Trump said at a White House press conference that he was "not a fan" of Markle's and that he "wished a lot of luck to Harry" after the pair made a veiled criticism of his administration.

After losing reelection, Trump continued to comment on the royal couple. In March 2021, a former advisor to Trump said Markle was "no good" and made clear he stood behind Piers Morgan, who had recently been subject to criticism for his own controversial remarks about the Duchess of Sussex.

Harry and Meghan stepped away from their royal duties in January 2020. The two reportedly did so because of tensions within the royal family, aggressive tabloid coverage of Markle in the U.K., and claims of racist treatment by unnamed members of the royal family.
