Did Bill Cosby show up to the 2016 Emmy Awards? The comedian, who is accused of multiple counts of sexual assault, was introduced at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night. But don’t worry, it was just a joke from host Jimmy Kimmel.

“Don’t worry, he’s not really here,” Kimmel told the crowd. “I just wanted to see what you would do.”

The audience was in shock and looking around. The memes and gifs on Twitter started immediately:

Bill Cosby, 79, is charged with three counts of felony-aggravated indecent assault. He is set to stand trial on June 5, 2017.
