The iconic reality show that burst into the world of pop culture in the early ‘90s is back for a new round of thrills and spills. "The Real World," which is known for its ability to tackle divisive issues that young adults face, stays within that familiar territory in the new season as seven strangers become unconventional roommates.

In the newly-released trailer of the 2019 season of the MTV series, we get a glimpse into the drama and excitement that will unfold in the upcoming installment. From sexuality to race to immigration, the new episodes are sure to be must-see TV. “It’s time to get real. Again,” states a voice-over in the preview. Just how real it gets, however, has yet to be seen.

One of the changes that will come with this new season is the way in which you can view the show. In prior years it aired on MTV, but this time around, it is available on Facebook Watch. New episodes will be available every week, with new content coming out daily to satisfy fans in the meantime.

The fresh cast features people with a myriad of viewpoints and life experiences to comingle in the Atlanta, Georgia, residence. As reported by ET Online, new houseguests include a DACA recipient, a Republican, and an Instagram star. Arley, the youngest at 21, had dreams of taking the nursing exam until her DREAMer status made that an impossibility and Yasmin, 27, identifies as a pansexual feminist. Each houseguest comes with an intriguing backstory that positions themselves to be a unique voice in the group.

In the midst of the chaos the world is experiencing, returning to a beloved reality show to synthesize the issues of the outside world will bring a sense of exciting nostalgia. You can catch "The Real World" episodes beginning June 13 on Facebook Watch at 12 p.m. EST, but for an earlier introduction to meet the diverse cast check out Facebook Stories for scenes until the summer premiere date.
