Hearties will have to wait a little while longer to officially meet the new Mountie of “When Calls the Heart,” newcomer Kevin McGarry’s Nathan Grant, because Hallmark Channel’s taken the new Season 6 episode off of its schedule amid former star Lori Loughlin’s college admissions scandal.

The network’s assured fans that the show has not been canceled but is just on hiatus until creative decisions can be made about how to handle Loughlin’s character, Abigail, since the actress has been dropped from all of her Hallmark projects.

To tide fans over, International Business Times has a special treat in the form of an exclusive clip from what would have been this Sunday’s episode, featuring Mountie Nathan Grant and Sheriff Bill Avery (Jack Wagner).

In the “When Calls the Heart” Season 6, episode 4 video, which can be watched above, the two lawmen work together to investigate a robbery, though they aren’t exactly happy to be working with each other in the beginning. Bill thinks the case should be his because it’s local, while Nathan believes it’s considered regional and, therefore, under his jurisdiction.

Aside from the introduction of the new Mountie, there’s quite a bit else fans can expect from the new episode, which was written by Annie Brunner and directed by Martin Wood.

“Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) is confronted by memories when a new Mountie comes to Hope Valley,” according to the synopsis. “…Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) buys a telephone and Lee (Kavan Smith) worries this new technology will contribute to his wife’s gossipy tendencies. Meanwhile, Jesse’s (Aren Buchholz) jealousy of Clara’s (Eva Bourne) boss reaches a boiling point.

Hallmark Channel has not yet announced a new air date for Season 6, episode 4 of “When Calls the Heart,” but IBT will be keeping fans updated as new information is released.
