KEY POINTS

  • There are two main quests in "Fallout 76"
  • The Overseer questline unlocks access to the Scorched Earth event
  • Players can choose which faction to help in the Wastelanders' quest

Like most MMOs, “Fallout 76” is no stranger to having most of its most interesting elements at the later stages of the game. Getting to that point can take a while since reaching the level cap of 50 requires a lot of time.

Completing the main quest lines is a solid way to get to the endgame faster while also finding out more about the Appalachian wastes and the denizens living in it, but players get overwhelmed by the sheer number of quests they encounter in their travels. Here’s a chronological list of the major storylines in “Fallout 76.”

The Overseer’s Mission

This is the main quest that shipped with the game back in 2018. It will have players travel through Appalachia, collecting holotapes, interacting with terminals and doing whatever else the quest prompts tell them to. It’s not the most interesting, but the rewards are hefty.
