John Cena has opened up about his return to "Fast & Furious 10," saying he would "love nothing more than to return to the franchise."

The 44-year-old former professional wrestler, who appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday to promote his HBO Max series, "Peacemaker," noted "Fast & Furious 10" was gearing up for production.

"I can tell you this: you probably won't see me in Fast 10 dressed like [Peacemaker], but I really hope you see me in Fast 10," he said. "I know they're gearing up for production and I would love nothing more than to return to the franchise. I'm a big fan myself."

Cena played Jakob Toretto in the popular car racing franchise's ninth installment, "F9," which was dropped on June 25, 2021.

"Fast & Furious 10" is slated to release on May 19, 2023. The star-studded movie will feature Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell, Cardi B and Tyrese Gibson.

While Cena is excited to return in the next installment, it's not the same with other stars who previously appeared in the franchise.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed last month he had "privately" turned down the invitation of Diesel, who asked him to re-join the franchise in a social media post.

"This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly – and privately – that I would not be returning to the franchise," Johnson told CNN in December 2021. "I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return."

On the work front, Cena will be next seen in James Gunn's directed series, "Peacemaker," which is slated to drop this Thursday on the streaming platform, HBO Max.

He will also feature in a movie, titled "Snafu," starring Jackie Chan and Pilou Asbæk. The movie is helmed by director Scott Waugh and is slated to release this year. The actor is currently filming a thriller movie, "The Independent," which is directed by Amy Rice.

Cena will also appear in movies like "Argylle," "The Janson Directive" and "Freelance."
