“Fast and Furious 9” filming has begun. Vin Diesel, who will be reprising his role as Dominic Toretto in the upcoming movie, shared a video online from the production set after wrapping filming on the first day.

Diesel shared a video from the production set on his Instagram page. A label on Diesel’s shirt prominently states his character’s name in the film. He counted his blessings for being able to make nine films in this franchise, and he thanked the fans across the world for “adopting” the films over the years and sharing their love for it.

Apart from the main saga, there are also spin off movies of the franchise. The first spin off has been titled “Hobbs and Shaw,” with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their respective roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. The film will be released on August 2.

Hobbs and Shaw may not be seen in “Fast and Furious 9,” but the fans will get to see all the other main cast members, along with a few new faces. Michelle Rodriguez, who will be reprising her role as Letty Ortiz, joined Diesel in the behind-the-scenes video.

Diesel said that it feels like hard earned miracle to be able to do another film from this franchise. He also complimented the “incredible crew” and the “incredible cast” of the film.

Another cast member who will be returning in the film is Nathalie Emmanuel, who first appeared as Ramsey in “Furious 7.” She announced her return on Twitter, and added that the “team” is back together.

Emmanuel announced that she was there on the first day of the “Fast and Furious 9” filming, and the emojis in her tweet appear to represent some of the characters in the franchise. According to Entertainment Weekly, the emojis appear to represent Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Mia Toretto (Jordan Brewster), and Tej (Ludacris).
