Slowly but surely, it looks like the members of Fifth Harmony are becoming more and more interested in solo projects. Following Camila Cabello’s departure from the group in December, it looks like Normani Kordei is the latest member of 5H to branch out on her own.

Over the weekend, Kordei announced that she inked a solo management deal outside of Fifth Harmony. The singer has signed a contract with S10 Entertainment and Media.

While Kordei shared a simple retweet of the news, her manager, Brandon Silverstein, was more than happy to share the good news. “Couldn’t be more excited to welcome @normanikordei to @s10ent. Ready to see you shine. Incredible music on the way. Stay tuned,” he tweeted.

This isn’t the first time Kordei has ventured outside of the group. The singer has done covers of Drake’s songs “Fake Love” and “Sneakin,” in the past. She also competed on “Dancing With the Stars,” during Season 24, where she finished third alongside partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

In May, Kordei told People that she has no plans on leaving the group, even though they are all interested in working on individual projects. “I mean, we’re definitely all interested in different things and we’ll pursue solo endeavors, but right now Fifth Harmony is still the focus!”

Although much isn’t known about Kordei’s solo deal, she has previously revealed what fans can expect from her when she releases solo music. During an interview with Rolling Out, Kordei explained that her sound will differ from Fifth Harmony’s.

“I know who I am, and I know what I have to offer. It’s definitely more R&B and more soul because we’re generally pop [and] urban. But I definitely have more soul than I’ve been given the opportunity to showcase and offer. I kind of have to take pieces of myself to fit what it is that radio wants,” she said.

Kordei revealed that fans have never seen the real her and she wants to be able to show them her other side. “I just feel like I haven’t been able to showcase my full potential. I hate the fact that people can judge based on something that isn’t fully given to them,” she said.

“Like this isn’t the full product. This isn’t all I have to offer, so don’t judge based on this little piece of what you’re given. I have so much in me that people don’t even know, and I can’t wait to offer it to them,” she added.

While Kordei doesn’t seem like she is ready to go completely solo just yet, former bandmate Cabello seems to be enjoying her journey as a solo artist, and is ready to release a brand new music video.

On Sunday, Cabello announced that she will be releasing the music video to her song “Havana” on Tuesday. The star shared a short teaser, which featured her, in character, attending a movie that she was also starring in. “#HAVANAtheMOVIE, 10/24,” she tweeted along with the video.

The announcement means something dear to Cabello, who previously revealed that she has a strong connection to the single. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for ‘Havana’ – I’m so proud of it and I want to feel that way about every song,” Cabello told Official Charts.

While it’s clear Kordei and Cabello are content with their solo ventures, it seems like the “Down” singer has no intention of following in the footsteps of her former bandmate and splitting from Fifth Harmony.
