E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades” franchise will continue with a fifth book, titled “50 Shades Darker as Told by Christian.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, the novel will hit bookstores across the globe starting next month. The book will chronicle the events from “Fifty Shades Darker” that was originally told from Anastasia Steele’s perspective. James previously released “Fifty Shades of Grey” from Christians point of view.

“The inside of Christian Grey’s head is a fascinating place to be. In ‘Grey’ we got the first glimpse of what makes Christian tick, but in ‘Darker’ we go deeper, into his most painful memories and the encounters that made him the damaged, demanding man Ana falls in love with. Writing this novel had been a journey of discovery, and I hope readers will find what I’ve learned as compelling as I did. Finally, it’s always a joy to work with the great team at Vintage,” James said in a statement.

Anna Messitte, publisher of Vintage, teased that the book will contain tons of surprises. “Readers are going to see a darker and more haunted version of Christian’s character,” she said.

James’ “Fifty Shades” books became a successful fan-fiction that sold over 100 million copies all over the world. The trilogy concluded with “Fifty Shades Freed” that was released in 2012.

The books’ success extended to the films that starred James Dornan as Christian and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia. “Fifty Shades of Grey” was released in February 2015 and earned 571 million in the United States alone.

“Fifty Shades Darker” was released two years later. Even though the film was still embraced by fans of the books, as well as of Christian and Anastasia, it did not fare as well as the first film in the box office. “Fifty Shades Darker” earned 378.8 million in the country alone.

Fifty Shades Freed” is slated to hit theaters in February 2018. The film also stars Marcia Gay Harden as Christian’s mom, Grace, Rita Ora as Christian’s sister, Mia, Kim Basinger as Christian’s former submissive, Elena, Eloise Mumford as Anastasia’s former roommate, Kate, Eric Johnson as Christian’s nemesis, Jack, and more.
