Floyd Mayweather says he is open to working with Manny Pacquiao again; but that does not mean taking part in another lucrative rematch.

In a proposed match-up that was years in the making, Mayweather and Pacquiao finally clashed in what was dubbed as "The Fight of the Century" in May 2015 in Las Vegas.

However, despite the commercial success of the fight, grossing $410 million in revenue as well as still being the most lucrative boxing pay-per-view of all time today with 4.6 million buys, the contest was ultimately an underwhelming one as the unbeaten Mayweather outboxed Pacquiao to a bore, unanimous decision victory.

Mayweather has long been against a rematch with the former eight-division champion but recently responded to Pacquiao's calls for a second fight.

Pacquiao bounced back from a controversial unanimous decision loss to Jeff Horn last year by defeating Lucas Matthysse via TKO to win the World Boxing Association welterweight title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in July.

After the fight, the 39-year-old, who has desired a rematch with "Money" for a while, called him out once again.

"Mayweather? If he decides to go back to boxing then that is the time we are going to call the shots," he told reporters. "I have the belt, so it's up to him. If he wants to come back in boxing let's do a second one."

Mayweather does not blame Pacquiao for calling him out.

"I can't knock Manny Pacquiao for what he wants to do, that's his prerogative," Mayweather said, as quoted on Sky Sports. "If he still wants to go out there and make money, be victorious that's his prerogative. You do whatever you want to do. I don't have nothing [sic] against Manny Pacquiao."

"Of course, he's supposed to call the Mayweather name. I'm probably going to be one of the biggest names of all time in this sport, if not the biggest name. When you call the Mayweather name out, I mean, you speaking dollars," he said.

Mayweather respects Pacquiao but ultimately feels the better man won. However, he is open to working with him and finding the right opponent for him to fight, such as International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Council lightweight champion Mikey Garcia.

"I'm not really doing interviews but I've been asked the question probably seven times, with one saying, 'why are you scared to fight Pacquiao' - like beating him once wasn't good enough," Mayweather added. "It is was it is and Pacquiao is a future Hall of Famer, a hell of a champion and a hell of a guy. But the best man won and I was the best man."

"Actually, I'm [going to] get on the phone with Pacquiao after this call see if we can put him in position. There's a lot of good competition out there that he could fight," he added.

Pacquiao is also interested in fights with Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford, however, his old trainer Freddie Roach has advised him against taking those fights, believing he should have a rematch with Horn instead.

"Horn would be a good fight to finish [his career]," Roach said. "But the names they are talking about out there [Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford], I think they wouldn't be the right opponents. I think that I wouldn't like those fights for Manny."
