It's been a tumultuous few weeks for former "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans, but thankfully she has people around to support her -- like "Teen Mom OG" star Amber Portwood's ex, Andrew Glennon.

Andrew revealed in an Instagram comment that he reached out to Jenelle following her split from her husband of two years, David Eason, after being asked his opinion on her current situation.

"... Told her I was proud of her and I am," Andrew wrote. "Every small step towards saving yourself and your children from someone who refuses to save themselves is a huge victory."

"None of these people who pass judgment so easily know what they are talking about, every situation is different and there is no plan that can be drawn out bc you don't know what is going to happen next in a relationship like that," he continued. "To minimize what someone is experiencing while in a domestic violence/abusive relationship is a huge disservice."

"Every time I was attacked it would be minimized and then somehow made to be my fault... and I believed it sometimes! (That's gaslighting, for all you people who like to throw words around)," Andrew described his relationship with Amber. "The toughest part is that love is involved and then when true fear is added, those two together cloud judgment and make the simplest solutions feel absolutely impossible."

"I'm glad Jenelle has taken the right steps towards her new and better life," the comment continued. "Existence is too brief and we cannot spend it with people who rip us apart and refuse to help themselves, there is too much beauty to be happy for and celebrate, and our children MUST be protected from that type of behavior. Innocence must be preserved. They are not "just babies," they are human beings of light and love, and they imprint early. Some of the earliest experiences we have echo a lifetime, ensure that happy foundation for your child, it will help them many years down the road."

Andrew wasn't the only one who was proud of Jenelle. Nathan Griffith, Jenelle's ex and father of their 5-year-old son Kaiser, was apparently happy with her choice to leave David as well. Sources close to Griffith revealed that he was worried about Kaiser's "well-being" and safety due to David's track record of "disturbing and violent behavior".

The mother of three announced the split from her estranged husband on Oct. 31. In a series of social media posts, she explained that she had some "big life decisions" to make, starting with separating from David, though he didn't seem to take the news very well.

Just a few days later, on Nov. 4, Jenelle filed for a restraining order to protect herself and her children -- sons Jace Evans, 10, and Kaiser Griffith, 5, from previous relationships, and 2-year-old daughter Ensley with David -- from his "erratic behavior." In the filing Jenelle detailed several instances that showcased the alleged abuse she suffered.

Jenelle was granted the protective order and, hopefully, that will give her some peace of mind to be able to focus on the next step in her life -- which could possibly mean returning to "Teen Mom 2." Since her split from David, sources have shared that she has been in talks with the network. That, along with a few other signs, all point to her return to reality television but, as usual, only time will tell.
