  • Roman Reigns is the current Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion
  • Reigns unified the two titles by beating Lesnar at WrestleMania 38
  • The two are set to face off at SummerSlam later this month

Former WWE superstar Ricardo Rodriguez is reluctant to manage seven-time world champion Brock Lesnar.

Rodriguez, best known for being Alberto Del Rio's manager/ring announcer, made his WWE debut on the SmackDown brand on Aug. 20, 2010. He was not only a great personal ring announcer but also helped Del Rio win matches by distracting his opponents.

Paul Heyman had been Lesnar's manager for many years and the two were a formidable team. However, Heyman recently betrayed the Beast Incarnate and aligned with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, a few months ahead of WrestleMania 38. Things turned uglier earlier this year in April when Reigns defeated Lesnar at the "Show of the Shows" to become the Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion.

Since Lesnar does not have a personal announcer and manager as of now, it opens the door for many to fill in Heyman's shoes.

While Rodriguez enjoys new challengers, this one could be far off for him.

"Hey, listen, it would be super hard to fill Paul Heyman's shoes. I don't know...I'm always up for challenges. I do love a good challenge, but that's a tough one man. I feel like...who's that Greek God who had the wings and flew too close to the sun? Icarus. I don't want to fly too close to the sun on that one. [Laughs]," Rodriguez told Sportskeeda in an interview.

In what is going to be Lesnar's biggest fight at the SummerSlam event, the former WWE champion is set to take on Reigns in a Last Man Standing match. But this fight will be extra exciting because Austin Theory has the Money in the Bank contract. He has made it clear that he intends to cash in when the two bulls are exhausted. In addition, the SummerSlam fight will also end Lesnar and Reigns' legendary rivalry in the WWE.

Theory is also set to face off against Bobby Lashley in the WWE United States Championship.

The SummerSlam event, considered the Biggest Party of the Summer, is scheduled to take place on July 30 at Nashville's Nissan Stadium. The organizers have already sold 30,383 tickets and only 6,512 are left now, according to WrestlingHeadlines.
