  • Sony has revealed the list of free games for PS Plus for July
  • "Virtua Fighter 5" is once again available to claim for the rest of the month
  • The previous month's free games can still be claimed until Monday

Sony has announced the official lineup for July’s list of free PS Plus game offers, providing PlayStation owners three new games while confirming one leak from prior weeks.

The PS Plus games for July include “A Plague Tale: Innocence,” “WWE 2k Battlegrounds” and “Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4,” adding this month to Sony’s record of having at least one free triple A game for its subscribers to enjoy.

This month’s free games trumps June’s offer with “Black Ops 4” alone, providing PS Plus subscribers with countless hours of entertainment through its signature competitive modes and Treyarch’s quintessential Zombies mode. “Black Ops 4” took “Call Of Duty” back to the classic boots on the ground style of FPS, forsaking the fast-moving parkour mechanics of “Black Ops 3” in favor of a more grounded and traditional experience.

Players who are looking for a more casual experience can try “WWE 2k Battlegrounds” instead.

Play as iconic stars of the world of WWE in this over-the-top version of wrestling. Dominate the competition with character-specific abilities and a multitude of power-ups and compete in the WWE’s signature match types like Royal Rumble, Steel Cage match and more. Duke it out with friends in local multiplayer or fight against strangers and climb the global ranking ladders in online tournaments.

Fans of story-driven single-player games will get “A Plague Tale: Innocence” for this month’s free games offer.

The game is experienced through the eyes of a young French woman who, along with her little brother, is trying to survive in medieval France during the time of the Black Death. Players must avoid swarms of rats, sneak past aggressive inquisition soldiers and guide the siblings to safety in this harrowing story of family and survival.

This version of “A Plague Tale: Innocence” is exclusive for PS5 owners, featuring upscaled visuals, increased graphical fidelity and 60 FPS compatibility.

Additionally, “Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown” is once again available for the PS4 players who were not able to claim it last month. June’s other free games, “Star Wars: Squadrons” and “Operation: Tango,” will still be up for grabs until Monday.
