Gal Gadot is a household name now, thanks to her role as the badass Amazonian Diana Prince in “Wonder Woman.” However, it was Zack Snyder who first believed that she could be Wonder Woman. The actress recently shared an old picture of how the DC Cinematic Universe director inspired her to believe in herself.

In her most recent Instagram post, Gadot shared a post by Snyder, which was a picture the director took on the first day they met. In his post, Snyder said that even Gadot didn’t know at that time that he had already selected her to play Wonder Woman.

Gadot wrote that Snyder was the one who believed that she could play a superhero. Later, she started to also believe that she could do it, and that’s how she got the confidence to play Wonder Woman. “#icansoidid,” she wrote.

“I believed and still do. #youcouldsoyoudid,” Snyder responded to Gadot’s post.

The director’s post has fans excited. It has over 21,000 likes and over 4,000 retweets as of this writing. Many of the fans said that Snyder’s choice had been perfect, and some are hoping for another “Justice League” movie with him at the helm.

Gadot first played the role of Wonder Woman in the 2016 flick “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which was directed by Snyder. Her powerful performance helped her land a solo film of her character that went on to become a huge hit.

Gadot will be reprising her role in the upcoming “Wonder Woman” sequel. She will also be a part of the “Justice League” sequel, but the release date and director of this film have not yet been announced.

Filming of the “Wonder Woman” sequel wrapped in December last year. Gadot shared a picture from the last day on the set with the fans, and she teased that the film is both “unique and special.”
