It will be a day of persuasion and rejection for the residents of Port Charles as they realize moving on from the past may force them to hurt the ones they love. On the Tuesday, September 18 episode of “General Hospital,” Maxie and Lulu will disagree while Drew pushes Sam away.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Lulu (Emme Rylan) tells Maxie (Kirsten Storms) she is writing the Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) story for The Invader.

“General Hospital” spoilers reveal Maxie is confused. It took a lot of time and groveling, but Lulu eventually managed to get Maxie to stop blaming her for Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) death. The longtime besties are finally in a good place, but it appears Lulu’s journalism career may get in the way of their friendship once again.

Maxie’s mother, Felicia (Kristina Wagner), was one of Ryan’s victims and chances are she isn’t going to approve of Lulu exploiting the life of another person she loves for media attention. Will Lulu be able to convince Maxie the town needs to be reminded of the Chamberlain murders or will their friendship fall apart all over again?

Elsewhere in the ABC promo video, Sam (Kelly Monaco) assumes Drew’s (Billy Miller) talk with Kim (Tamara Braun) didn’t go well. Drew has been pretty torn up about having to lie to Oscar (Garren Stitt) ever since he found out the teen is dying.

In the previous episode, Drew told Kim he was no longer willing to lie to their son about his illness, but Kim insisted he wait until after Oscar’s birthday to reveal the truth. Although Drew agreed, on the other side of town, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) told Franco (Roger Howarth) what’s really going on with the young man. Considering word travels fast in Port Charles, the truth about the teen’s inoperable tumor may get out before his parents get the chance to tell him on their own terms.

Despite his difficult time, “GH” spoilers suggest Drew won’t be interested in receiving any support from Sam. Will Drew let his emotions get the best of him or will he break down and embrace his ex-wife?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
