George Clooney and Amal Clooney have been subject of many false rumors in 2018. These include stories that suggested the human rights lawyer is pregnant with another set of twins and that the celebrity couple may be filing for divorce. Here are the top five debunked rumors about them.

Amal Clooney has twin children Alexander and Ella. This was a hotly discussed topic at the time of their birth. According to Gossip Cop, a magazine decided to run a fake story about the human rights layer being pregnant again with a second set of twins, a report that was sure to pique the interest of the fans who follow any news related to the celebrity couple.

The magazine had zero evidence to support the claim that the Clooneys are having children again. This story has been proven to be false because Amal Clooney doesn’t have a baby bump yet, and the couple had also confirmed in separate interviews that they are not having any children.

The other big rumor about Amal Clooney and George Clooney was that the two were filing for divorce. The false story went to the extent of saying that the movie star had enough of his wife’s “demanding behavior” and being “beaten down by her intellect.” The actor was also supposedly tired of his wife’s “superior way of speaking.” But 2019 is already here, and the couple continues to enjoy life together, proving the rumor to be false.

Another divorce story that was published in October last year suggested that Amal Clooney was going to part ways with her husband. That report falsely claimed that the human rights lawyer has been “using” her husband this whole time and that she was going after his fortune.

A report about the Clooneys' relationship troubles that was published around the same time as the previous false rumor stated that the two were competing against each other to prove who is a bigger celebrity. The report falsely claimed that the human rights lawyer said that she was a bigger celebrity at a dinner party. Her rep has since confirmed that this is a fabricated story.

The other big false story about the couple got the British royal family involved. The report in September had claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had adopted an African baby, which in itself is false. It also claimed that they asked the Clooneys to be godparents to the baby.

The Clooneys did attend the royal wedding. According to a report by Evening Standard, the human rights lawyer impressed everyone there with her dress. The celebrity couple previously went to Edinburgh to collect an award from People’s Postcode Lottery Charity Gala for their charity work, BBC reported.
