Paramount Pictures dropped a new trailer for the sixth installment of the popular horror franchise, "Scream," featuring Ghostface fighting with regular people at a grocery store.

The trailer starts with actress Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera — who played Tara & Sam Carpenter — running into a supermarket to seek help from Ghostface. "Please! Please help us! - He tracked us down," Tara tells the cashier as she enters.

Ghostface can be seen entering the supermarket while following Tara and Sam but when a man shopping at the store gets in the middle, he simply gets punched by the Ghostface.

The Ghostface continues to walk toward the girls after hurting the man but is interrupted when the cashier fires a shotgun. He hides and later stabs the cashier. Eventually, Ghostface kills the cashier with his own gun and continues to find Tara and Sam in the store.

In the next scene, Sam sits on a couch and shares her story, "I had this secret. There's a darkness inside of me. It followed me here. And it's going to keep coming for us."

Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) are introduced in the trailer. While the latter has been a regular on the franchise since the start, Panettiere starred in the 2022 installment.

Kirby tells Sam and Tara that "we share a certain history" while Weathers takes Sam, Tara and her friends to a shrine and plans to execute the Ghostface.

The trailer ends with Sam and Tara traveling on a train with their friends filled with people, seemingly on Halloween, where people are dressed as different characters and some of them donned Ghostface outfits.

The first installment of the franchise released in 1996 was helmed by director Wes Craven. The second installment came out in 1997. The franchise's third installment didn't arrive until three years later, in 2000.

It took the franchise 11 years to release the movie's fourth installment, which hit the theaters in 2011. After 11 more years of waiting, fans got to see the fifth installment, which was released on Jan. 14, last year.

The sixth installment of the franchise is slated to release in theaters on March 10.
