Fans of "Gossip Girl" may need to make a steep turn to get to the Upper Eastside as a reboot of the famed TV series may not be coming as soon as they would like. While there have been talks of a possible reboot at this time that may be all it is.

However, CW Executive Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the TV Critics' Association press tour that discussions about bringing the show back are in the works. But, "Gossip Girl" fans may be disappointed as a decision to bring the show back has not been revealed

According to Pedowitz, there is “a discussion happening. But I don’t know if we’re there yet.”

Although, Leighton Meester or Blair Waldorf as fans remember her, told E! News that she wouldn’t say never about a revival of the show.

"No one's every asked me,” she told the news outlet about returning to the show. "No one's every talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don't know. No one's sent me that information, it's coming from you."

Whether these discussions have progressed since then remains to be seen. But Pedowitz did say that it needs to have the involvement of Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the executive producers on the show.

Back in 2016, Schwartz told E! News that an Instagram influencer-like "Gossip Girl” does make sense as he said, "The world has become Gossip Girl now. ... Now literally everyone is Gossip Girl."
