A lot of big name celebrities had roles on “Gossip Girl.” The CW

The CW’s “Gossip Girl” acted as a career springboard for so many of its leads, but that doesn’t mean they’re the only big stars that were on the show.

Whenever you go back to a series years later, you’re bound to recognize a lot more faces than you did the first time around. The same goes for this hit drama, as there were a lot of celebrities who had both large guest roles or small roles on the show.

Now that it’s been 10 years since the show first premiered, take a look at some of the famous names you might’ve forgotten were on “Gossip Girl” at some point.

Elizabeth Hurley (Diana Payne)

Now Queen Helena on “The Royals,” Hurley joined “Gossip Girl” for quite a few episodes in its fifth season as Diana, a businesswoman and a romantic interest of Nate’s (Chace Crawford).

Katie Cassidy (Juliet Sharp)

Cassidy is clearly a CW fan-favorite as she’s been on the network’s former incarnation WB on the series “7th Heaven” for four episodes, then “Supernatural” in 2007 and 2008 before landing her own CW series, “Melrose Place,” and then later joining “Gossip Girl” after her show was canceled. Now, she’s most known as Laurel Lance/Black Canary on another CW show, “Arrow.”

Sebastian Stan (Carter Baizen)

Before becoming the Winter Soldier, Stan played Baizen on “Gossip Girl” for 11 episodes. He dated Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), as well as had a little fling with Blair Waldord (Leighton Meester).

Tika Sumpter (Raina Thorpe)

After spending over 200 episodes on “One Life to Live,” Sumpter found herself on “Gossip Girl” starting in Season 4 as socialite Thorpe, who dated Nate and had a brief thing with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick). She now stars on the TV series “The Haves and the Have Nots.”

Aaron Tveit (Trip van der Bilt)

He played Danny Zuko on “Grease Live!” and Mike Warren on “Graceland,” but he also played Trip, Nate’s cousin and often-rival, on the CW drama.

Hilary Duff (Olivia Burke)

Post-Disney Channel, and after dominating the pop music scene, Duff took on the world of “Gossip Girl” as Olivia, a famous actress and the girlfriend of Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley). She now stars on TV Land’s “Younger.”

Tyra Banks (Ursula Nyquist)

The host, model and all-around businesswoman played an actress who befriended Serena on the hit series.

Barry Watson (Steven Spence)

After playing Matt Camden on The WB and The CW’s “7th Heaven” for years, Watson starred in a few other shows before coming back to the network on this series as Steven, a love interest of Serena’s.

Willa Holland (Agnes Andrews)

Cassidy’s not the only “Arrow” star who was on this series, so was Holland, who played Agnes, a model who befriended Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen).

Armie Hammer (Gabriel Edwards)

The star of the upcoming film “Call Me By Your Name,” Hammer once played socialite Gabriel who had a romance with Serena.

Sherri Saum (Holland Kemble)

Star of “The Fosters” as Lena Adams Foster, Saum played the conniving Holland and tried to split up Rufus and Lily (Kelly Rutherford).

Sam Page (Colin Forrester)

The Hallmark Channel staple and “The Bold Type” star portrayed Colin, a Columbia University professor who had a fling with Serena.

Jill Flint (Bex Simon)

The current “Night Shift” and former “Royals Pains” star appeared on this CW series as Bex, an art consultant who went out with Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle) for a little while.

Gina Torres (Gabriela Abrams)

She’s been playing Jessica on “Suits” for a long time now and is about to start her own spinoff series of it, but before that, she was Gabriela, Vanessa Abrams’ (Jessica Szohr) mother.

Brittany Snow (Lily Rhodes)

The “Pitch Perfect” franchise star played a younger version of Rutherford’s Lily in a backdoor pilot episode of “Gossip Girl” that acted as a test to see if a spinoff series should be made. Despite Snow being wonderful, the spinoff did not move forward.

Lydia Hearst (Amelia)

The model played Amelia, an interior designer during the show’s first season finale.

Krysten Ritter (Carol Rhodes)

Marvel’s Jessica Jones herself was on the series as Lily’s sister Carol in the backdoor episode with Snow.

Ryan Hansen (Shep)

After starring on “Veronica Mars,” but before “Party Down,” “Friends with Benefits,” “Bad Judge” and “2 Broke Girls,” Hansen as on this show as Shep during the spinoff episode.

Meghann Fahy (Devyn)

The role of Devyn on “Gossip Girl” was Fahy’s first-ever acting credit. Now, she’s a lead on “The Bold Type” with fellow former “Gossip Girl” guest, Page.

Peyton List (Little Girl #1)

The Disney darling had an unnamed role during the third season of the series, before landing her big break as Emma Ross on Disney Channel’s “Jessie” and now its spinoff series “Bunk’d.”

Matt McGorry (Personal Shopper)

The actor, who had a large role on “Orange Is the New Black” before landing his major position on “How to Get Away with Murder,” was once a personal shopper on an episode of the New York City-set show.

Gabe Saporta (Zeke)

Yes, the lead singer of the pop-punk band Cobra Starship did in fact have a small role on “Gossip Girl.”

Jerrika Hinton (Waitress)

Hinton went from playing a one-episode waitress on “Gossip Girl” to an over-100-episode doctor on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Emily Wickersham (Leading Lady)

Now a major “NCIS” actress, Wickersham played simply a character credited as “leading lady” on “Gossip Girl” in 2011.
