The NFC North looks like a two-team race with a month left in the 2019 NFL season. But even though the Green Bay Packers (9-3) and Minnesota Vikings (8-4) are only separated by a game with a head-to-head matchup at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 16 looming, there’s unlikely to be a change at the top of the division.

Green Bay is the overwhelming favorite to win the NFC North with -310 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook. Minnesota is a +260 betting underdog in the division, largely because of the remaining schedules and the current tiebreaker.

The Chicago Bears (6-6) are technically alive in the race with +12000 odds. The Detroit Lions (3-8-1) have already been eliminated from contention.

The Packers own the tiebreaker over the Vikings because of their respective records within the division. That won’t change unless Green Bay suffers an upset over the next four weeks.

Minnesota lost at Lambeau Field in Week 2 and at Soldier Field in Week 4, putting their current divisional record at just 1-2. Green Bay is a perfect 3-0 in the NFC North.

In addition to beating Green Bay at home on Dec. 23, Minnesota needs the Packers to lose one of their remaining games. Green Bay should be a heavy favorite in Week 14, 15 and 17.

The Washington Redskins are 13-point underdogs at Lambeau Field Sunday in a contest the Packers should certainly win. Green Bay should be favored by at least a touchdown over the visiting Bears in Week 15. You can bet that the Packers will be significant road favorites when they close out the regular season against the Lions, who will have nothing on the line.

The Vikings probably won’t be an underdog again until the playoffs, including their matchup against the Packers. Minnesota is the biggest Week 14 favorite as they host Detroit. Their meeting with Green Bay is sandwiched in between a Week 15 road game against the Los Angeles Chargers and the season finale at home against the Bears.

If the Vikings win out and the Packers lose to the Bears or Lions, the tiebreaker will come down to record in common games. Minnesota would have the advantage since Green Bay has suffered losses to both the Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles, both of whom the Vikings will have beaten in this scenario.

The Packers have a win over the Kansas City Chiefs, who beat Minnesota in Week 9.

Minnesota enters Week 14 with a one-game lead over the Los Angeles Rams for the second NFC wild-card berth.
