Gymboree Is Coming Back: Complete List Of 200 Stores Opening

Gymboree is coming back after announcing it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, closing its stores in the process. Gymboree found a buyer in The Children’s Place (PLCE), which is now bringing the Gymboree brand back in a relaunch slated for February.

Gymboree will open as in-shop shops within 200 Children’s Place locations across the U.S. and Canada. The relaunch will include eight collections under the Gymboree brand. The apparel and accessory line will also be offered online at Gymboree.com, starting on Feb. 3 with early access giving to 10,000 customers through reservations.

“We are very proud to announce the return of Gymboree,” Jane Elfers, president and CEO, said in a statement. “The Gymboree team has worked tirelessly to bring this iconic brand back to its passionate and loyal customers.”

Gymboree will also offer free shipping with no minimum purchase and free returns. The retailer also has enhanced its My Place Rewards loyalty program and added an app for convenient mobile shopping.
