‘Haikyuu!!’ Season 4, Episode 23 Preview, Spoilers: Toru Oikawa’s Return

A mere glimpse of Toru Oikawa’s ear was enough to break Twitter as fans hyped Aoba Josai icon’s return after a long time. "Haikyuu!!" Season 4, Episode 23 is expected to showcase Oikawa catching the Karasuno High vs. Inarazaki High match.

"Haikyuu!!" Season 4, Episode 23, which is titled "The Birth of a Serene King," will show the final stage of the ongoing match.

The official website released the synopsis and spoilers for episode 23 -- teasing all eyes set on Kageyama’s next move as the match point is held.

Karasuno High manage to halt Inarizaki High’s momentum after Hinata’s heroic receive in the second half of "Haikyuu!!" Season 4, Episode 22.

However, things are still swinging in favor of Inarizaki High.

After watching Atsumu’s incredible set, Riseki wants to step up his game. Coach Kurosu tells Riseki that even the best players and teams need to tweak their style in order to win.

Riseki prepares for his service. He jumps and delivers a service ace impressing Inarizaki High’s supporters and Kurosu.

Elsewhere, coach Ukai calls for a time-out and tells the team that Riseki’s shot is manageable and that they can easily tackle his service.

After the time-out, Riseki shoots his next serve, Tanaka receives but the ball moves toward the net, and Ojiro jumps to deliver a spike. Inarizaki High reduce the gap and threaten to overtake the scoreboard soon.

Riseki comes with his third serve but Daichi receives it and Tsukishikma counters it.

Asahi gets ready to serve as the crowd continues to cheer. Asahi attempts a near-perfect service but it lands out.

As the episode progresses, Inarizaki High inch closer to Karasuno High on the scoreboard. The most iconic scene of the episode is when Ojiro goes for a clean spike but Hinata arrives and makes a receive that leaves everyone speechless.

The receive is so incredible that it even forces Kageyama to applaud Hinata’s efforts, giving the team a fighting chance against the ultimate challengers.

Unfortunately, Hinata’s receive goes in vain when Karasuno High are unable to convert it into a point. However, Hinata is excited about his receive and tells others to watch out for his next one.
