Hallmark Channel ‘A Summer To Remember’ Movie Premiere: Exclusive Clip, Cast, Trailer

Last month, International Business Times premiered the trailer for Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights movie “A Summer to Remember,” and now we’ve got an exclusive clip from the film to share.

The movie, which stars “Good Witch” actress Catherine Bell and new “Home & Family” co-host Cameron Mathison, premieres Saturday night, but the above sneak peek should help hold you over until the sun goes down and the movie begins.

In the clip, vacationing ER doctor Jessica Martin (Bell) heads out on an adventure with resort co-owner Will (Mathison). The two take a day trip through the lush greenery of Fiji, joking with each other the whole time. It looks like sparks are already flying.

“A Summer to Remember,” as a whole, follows Jessica as she takes her daughter Ava (Samantha MacGillvray) on an escape to Fiji so the two can have some mother-daughter bonding time. Jessica chose the island as the location for their trip because she has great memories of her time there with her late husband, and she’s looking to recapture some of the calm she once felt.

“But Jessica’s search for tranquility is sorely interrupted the first day at the resort by hammering outside her suite,” the movie’s synopsis shares. “A worker is installing a hammock, and though she’s slightly disarmed by the man’s rugged good looks, Jessica asks him to finish tomorrow when she and Ava are away from the room. Flashing a dazzling smile and informing Jessica he’s actually a co-owner of the resort, Will offers Jessica free tickets for the lovo (Fujian luau) to make up for the noise.”

The next day, though, he once again disrupts Jessica with noise as she’s trying to have a quiet moment on a bench she once spent time on with her husband. He apologizes, looking embarrassed, and she can’t help but laugh at his reaction. The two continue to run into each other, and one would think they’d start to develop more-than-friendly feelings, but Jessica met Trevor (Paul O’Brien), a surgeon staying at the resort, first.

“Still, she somehow seems to keep running into Will and while Ava takes a paddleboard lesson, she sees him on a hike,” the synopsis continues. “Even though it’s his day off, he offers to take her on a special jungle trail, as long as she follows his one stipulation – to be spontaneous and not act like a guest. Doing her best to just ‘chill,’ Jessica ends up having a magical time, enchanted by a roaring waterfall, and feeling electricity between them when she slips on the rocks and Will catches her.”

While Hallmarkies already got a glimpse of this scene in IBT’s exclusive clip, they will have to wait until the movie airs to see what happens next. But if you want a little tease of what’s to come, here it is: The day after her trip with Will, Jessica goes on a horseback ride with Trevor, but he ends up texting the whole time and tripping and hurting himself because of it.

“With the ride canceled, Ava and her mom relax by the pool until Jessica reveals she’s up for a promotion, upsetting Ava, who knows her mom’s hours will only increase,” according to the synopsis. “In the morning, while Ava’s on a youth hike, Jessica and Will ride horses on the beach, and he explains how loosening the reins actually gives her more control. Then later, when Trevor chooses work over snorkeling, Will dives in to show her and Ava the coral reef.”

Back on land, Will and Jessica are starting to explain how they feel about one another, but her trip is cut short when a friend back home goes into labor. What will Jessica decide about her promotion? What will she do about Will?
