Arcade Snacks has issued a recall for its candy corn over an allergy concern that could cause serious or life-threatening health risks for some people if consumed, just ahead of Halloween.

The recall affects 15-ounce packages of candy corn, which may contain eggs and were not declared on the package. If consumed by people who have egg allergies, they run the risk of an allergic reaction.

The recalled candy corn was distributed in Massachusetts and Connecticut at locations that include:

  • Johnson Roadside Farm Market in Swansea, Massachusetts
  • Donelan's Supermarkets in Massachusetts
  • Fieldstone Farm Market in Marion, Massachusetts
  • Foodies in Massachusetts
  • Windfall Market in Falmouth, Massachusetts
  • Highland Park Market in Glastonbury, Connecticut

The affected candy corn was packaged in clear plastic containers and has a UPC number of #00 18586 00114 4. The best buy date of the candy is March 8, 2023, which can be found on the back panel of the product.

Consumers that have the recalled candy corn in their possession are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Arcade Snacks said that it has not received any reports of illnesses related to the recall.
