After Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde were photographed holding hands at a friend’s wedding, rumors began to circulate claiming Styles was to blame for the end of the actress’ nearly decade-long engagement with Jason Sudeikis.

However, those close to the actress attempted to shut down the speculation by revealing Wilde was “already done” with Sudeikis before she began dating Styles.

“Harry did not break up an engagement,” the insider told Us Weekly. In fact, the new couple reportedly did their best to keep their blossoming romance out of the spotlight.

“Olivia and Harry were able to keep their relationship under wraps for a bit before it became public knowledge,” a source explained of the pair, who met while filming “Don't Worry Darling.”

“They were very careful about it and even sleuthy at times, although the small group of people who were on set with them every day eventually figured it out.”

Meanwhile, a source told People that Sudeikis believed Styles is the reason Wilde ended their engagement. An insider claimed Wilde didn’t show signs of wanting to end her relationship with her long time partner “until she began filming with Harry.”

“Jason feels that the timeline that Olivia and Harry would like people to believe—that she and Jason split ages ago, long before she became involved with Harry—is simply not accurate,” the source revealed.

“She began filming in September, and by October, he began to get the impression that she wanted out. By November, they’d announced their split.”

The former couple shares two children Otis, 6, and Daisy, 4. Following the breakup, Wilde and Sudeikis have been focused on co-parenting their kids.
