Following several explosive reports on alleged sexual abuse by Harvey Weinstein, the film producer's wife has announced she is leaving him. Georgina Chapman, 41, made the announcement Tuesday evening in a statement that specifically addressed the allegations of decades of harassment.

"My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband," she said in a statement to People. "Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time."

Previously, Weinstein, 65, stated in an interview with the New York Post that he had the support of his wife in spite of the surfaced allegations of abuse, which have received widespread condemnation among Hollywood's elite.

"She stands 100 percent behind me. Georgina and I have talked about this at length," he told the Post last week. "We went out with Lisa Bloom last night when we knew the article was coming out. Georgina will be with Lisa and others kicking my ass to be a better human being and to apologize to people for my bad behavior, to say I’m sorry, and to absolutely mean it."

According to People, the couple has two young children together: India Pearl, 7, and Dashiell Max Robert, 4.

Following the reports, Weinstein was fired from his company.
