Paul Heyman, the on-screen advocate of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Brock Lesnar, believes the pro-wrestling promotion should be proud to claim Lesnar as one of their own. Heyman went on to explain why his client is one of a kind while also taking a swipe at WWE legend John Cena and current UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

Lesnar has held titles at the college level, in the UFC and the WWE during his illustrious fighting career and Heyman believes there is only one who can make such a claim apart from Ronda Rousey, who has won an Olympic bronze medal, the UFC women’s bantamweight title and the WWE women’s title. Heyman believes the former WWE champion is a “once-ever” athlete and is the only one, who can walk into either the UFC or WWE and dominate.

Cena is a 16-time WWE champion and regarded as one of the greatest ever to step into the squared circle. Cormier, meanwhile, is currently the champion of the UFC heavyweight division and is ranked the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC. But Heyman is certain that both the fighters would not be able to dominate if they switched professions.

“Brock Lesnar, as I’ve said forever, is the only being in history to hold the NCAA Division I Championship, the UFC Heavyweight Championship, and the top titles, whether it’s the WWE Title or Universal Title, in WWE,” Heyman told CBS.

“When you take a look at that, there’s a reason for it: Brock Lesnar is a once-ever athlete. If Daniel Cormier could be WWE Champion, I assure you he would be. But he can’t pull them both off. If John Cena could have been UFC Champion, I assure you he would have been. Be he couldn’t pull both off,” he added.

Heyman continued to praise Lesnar and believes WWE has a trump card in their pockets and raises their marketability. He believes the former UFC and WWE champion is one of a kind and that the UFC or WWE cannot produce another athlete of the same caliber as Lesnar.

“To have someone like this on your roster is something that WWE has in its hip pocket that trumps all. There’s no one else out there that can make the claim that they have an athlete the caliber of Brock Lesnar,” Heyman explained.

“UFC may have the best MMA fighters in the world, but they can’t also be the best sports entertainers. There may be other sports entertainment properties out there, and they can claim to have great in-ring performers, but none that can walk into UFC and become a champion. WWE has the one being on the face of the planet who can do both,” he added.
