A$AP Rocky has garnered support from celebrities, peers and fans alike since he was arrested in Sweden earlier this month. Now, in the latest effort to free the rapper, a petition has started collecting signatures.

A$AP Mob, the hip-hop collective A$AP Rocky is a part of, started a petition on Change.org on Tuesday. They urged followers to sign their name on the matter tweeting, "Stand in support and request Rocky's release from Swedish officials!" The post was accompanied by a photo of the incarcerated rapper and the caption "#JUSTICEFORROCKY."

After gathering 180K signatures in several hours, Change.org declared the petition its fastest growing of the day. Less than 24 hours later, the petition has received over 350K signatures and counting. The next goal is to reach 500K supporters.

The 30-year-old rapper has been held in a Swedish jail since July 2 for what the petition describes as "self-defense." It also claims that the rapper's rights are being violated.

"... We filed an appeal with the Swedish Supreme Court to have Rocky released from the inhumane conditions and the clear violation of human rights," the petition reads. "The conditions of the facility are horrific. Some of the inhumane conditions Rocky and his colleagues are facing at the Stockholm Detention Center include 24/7 solitary confinement, restriction of amenities for the most basic of human functions, access to palatable and life sustaining food as well as unsanitary conditions."

The latest appeal for the Harlem native, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, was, unfortunately, denied and he remains in police custody. As for what will happen next, Rocky's lawyer told Pitchfork in an email, "... We continue to work with our defense plans.”
