Khloé Kardashian is reportedly struggling amid Tristan Thompson‘s paternity drama with Maralee Nichols, who claims that the NBA player is the father of her child.

Nichols is suing Thompson for child support and other pregnancy-related fees, claiming in court documents obtained by People that they conceived a child together in March. The Sacramento Kings player confessed to having sex with the personal trainer on at least one occasion, according to the documents.

"Khloé was upset to find out that he cheated again," an unnamed source told People. "She just can't believe that he is going to be a dad again."

The tipster confirmed that Kardashian, 37, and Thompson, 30, were still together in March, when Nichols claims she was involved with the NBA star.

"It's just a sad situation to her," the insider added of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum, with whom Thompson shares 3-year-old daughter True.

According to the source, friends of the "Revenge Body" star had encouraged her "over and over again" not to take Thompson back. However, Kardashian remained by his side "because she always believed that he would change" and wanted to give their daughter a complete family.

"She is just a really great person and wants to see the positive in people," the insider added.

Kardashian and Thompson quarantined together last year during the COVID-19 lockdown. After spending months together, they rekindled their relationship around September 2020. They previously broke up in February 2019 after he was caught cheating on the reality star with her sister Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods.

The source said that Kardashian "knew things would change" as soon as he returned to the NBA, but she had been hopeful that he would stay faithful and loyal to her.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has also remained supportive of her decisions and treated Thompson well despite the basketball player breaking the Good American founder's heart "multiple times," the insider added.

Since calling it quits in June, Kardashian and Thompson have been focusing on co-parenting True.

The Kings player, who also shares 4-year-old son Prince with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, previously shared in October rare photos of his two children hanging out together at an arcade. One snap he posted to Instagram showed the siblings standing side-by-side with big smiles, while another showed True looking fondly at her big brother.

"Let me love you a little more, before you are not so little anymore #MyEverything," Thompson captioned the Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Nichols welcomed her baby Thursday, Us Weekly reported. Thompson ordered genetic testing back in July before filing an amended petition in a Texas court last month, once again asking for a paternity test.

In text messages allegedly from Thompson — which Nichols submitted as evidence for her lawsuit — the NBA star stated that he "won’t be involved at all" and appeared to offer Nichols $75,000 instead of paying child support.
