Disney (DIS) has whittled down its brick-and-mortar locations over the last few months as it concentrates on its online presence and many of its stores will open for the last time on Wednesday.

The entertainment company announced back in March that it would close at least 60 of its retail locations in North America in 2021. The company had about 300 stores worldwide at the time.

The closures do not affect its 600 stores inside Disney theme parks or Target stores, which it recently expanded its partnership with to include an additional 100 shop-in-shop locations by the end of 2021.

The retail stores that Disney is closing are estimated to leave the retailer with about two dozen locations, USA Today reported. The company is closing another two stores on or before Sept. 22 in Sacramento, California, and McLean, Virginia, according to the Disney store locator, as reported by the news outlet.

Stephanie Young, Disney president of consumer products, games, and publishing, previously said in a statement about the store closures, “While consumer behavior has shifted toward online shopping, the global pandemic has changed what consumers expect from a retailer.”
