Meghan Markle is different from Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriends due to one particular reason.

The Duchess of Sussex stands out from Prince Harry’s exes in one key respect. According to Angela Levin, Markle can be separated from the duke’s past partners when it comes to her attitude towards the limelight.

“Unlike Harry’s previous long-term girlfriends, the actress in Meghan has enabled her to cope with the media spotlight and she seems to enjoy it,” Levin said on The Conservative Women, a right-wing UK publication.

“She also has a maternal streak which she overtly shows at royal engagements, something Harry no doubt needs,” she added. “She has made him ‘over the moon’ by giving birth to baby Archie and fulfilled his very long yearning to be a father,” she continued.

Prior to Markle, Prince Harry dated Chelsy Davy. The pair had an on-again, off-again relationship from 2004 to 2011.

In a previous interview, Chelsy revealed that being a member of the royal family was “difficult” and “uncomfortable.”

“It was so full-on. Crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad,” Davy said. “I couldn't cope ... I was trying to be a normal kid, and it was horrible.”

Chelsy was Prince Harry’s longest girlfriend. According to Katie Nicholl, when Prince Harry and Chelsy split, neither of them was willing to completely let go of their love affair. In fact, they used to carve their names into one of the tree trunks on the family estate. They also tried to rekindle their romance by flying to Africa together in 2015, but there was no more spark. It didn’t work.

After dating Chelsy, Prince Harry went out with Cressida Bonas. They were in a relationship for two years. Both Chelsy and Cressida were invited to Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding.

In related news, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accused of deliberately snubbing Prince William on his birthday. The couple didn’t post a birthday greeting for the future king but only commented on Kensington Palace’s post on Instagram.

A number of netizens also slammed Prince Harry and Markle for their “cold” and “useless” birthday greeting. They felt that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had no plans in giving him well wishes on his special day.
