Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton already met each other years ago, but not necessarily in the flesh.

In 2014, the “Suits” alum was still working as an actress in the United States when she posed for a photo holding a magazine cover. On the front page, the publication is a photo of the Duchess of Cambridge.

At that time, Markle and Middleton didn’t know each other personally yet. But the snap proves that their paths have already crossed. Also, on the cover of a magazine is the word “twins.”

After the snap was uploaded on Instagram by a royal fan, several royal family supporters couldn’t help but joke about the Duchesses connection. Some royal fans even called Markle and Middleton “twins.”

“Crazy how life works out, now they’re sisters-in-law,” the fan captioned the snap. And true enough, Markle couldn’t have had any idea that she would have the chance to meet Middleton in person let alone become her sister-in-law.

The former actress was only introduced to Prince Harry in 2016, and they only got engaged in 2017. Last year, the couple tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

But even though Markle couldn’t have had any idea that she would marry into the royal family, she was always set on dating a famous man from the United Kingdom. While speaking with The Sun, Lizzie Cundy claimed that Markle once begged her to find her a British guy.

“We were having a girly chat and then she said, ‘Do you know any famous guys? I’m single and I really love English men.’ So, I said, ‘We’ll go out and find you someone,” she said.

And when Markle was much younger, she was also reportedly fascinated with the royal family. In fact, she used to read a lot about Princess Diana and the royal family. There are some claims suggesting that the Princess of Wales would’ve liked Prince Harry’s wife if only had the chance to meet her in person.
