Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already picked a name for their dog.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to adopt a labrador retriever at the end of August. According to People, Prince Harry and Markle decided to name their new furry friend "Oz."

An insider told the publication that Oz has joined the couple at their country getaway in the Cotswolds area and Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.

It remains unclear what the inspiration behind the name of the dog is, but there are rumors that this might be related to their upcoming trip to the Land Down Under. Prince Harry and Markle are set to fly to Australia for the Invictus Games 2018. The country is also popular for its local informal names like Aussieland, Aussie, Ozzie and Oz.

The name could also have literary origins. An 1818 poem by Percy Shelley titled "Ozymandias" explores the fate of Egyptian ruler Rameses II. There's a line there that states, "My name is Ozymandias, king of kings."

Prince Harry and Markle will reportedly stay at Villa del Mare, a multi-million dollar waterfront home, during their stay in Sydney. The mansion boasts six bedrooms, a private butler's residence, wine cellar, gym and an infinity pool. The place is a perfect home away from home for the couple.

In related news, Queen Elizabeth II's former spokesman, Dickie Arbiter, warned the new royal of their upcoming trip. According to Arbiter, this will be a test for Markle.

"She's good at talking to people but it will be a real baptism of fire," Arbiter explained. "They will have a very demanding schedule. The Duchess will have to get used to local customs with the eyes of the world on her."

"The Duchess of Sussex being from the US the concept of monarchy is a bit alien," Arbiter continued. "It’s been a great learning curve she has taken in her stride and managed incredibly well. She and Harry have shown they are getting on incredibly well and always look so fantastically in love. With experience will come confidence and in the next few months I have no doubt we will see her come out of her shell even more."
