Kazuya Souma, the new king of Elfrieden Kingdom, is set to introduce a new policy to tackle the food problem in "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom" Episode 2. The new episode is titled "If You Have A Gift, I Will Put it to Use."

The official website has released the synopsis of Episode 2 hinting Souma is changing the policy from cotton-based agriculture for export to food grain agriculture.

Citing the increased demand for food grains and the growing hunger problem, Souma believes they need to stabilize the lives of the people before they do anything else.

In "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom" Episode 2, Souma also learns about the lack of manpower in the kingdom. He needs skilled people in his task force.

The new king decides to call people, test their skills, and hire them. He believes if someone is gifted, he will use the talent to progress the nation.

In Episode 1 of "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom," the Elfrieden Kingdom was in a mess. The king and his ministers had no choice but to summon a hero.

They initiated the hero summoning ritual and opened a portal hoping a hero would appear because they did this after a long time. Meanwhile, Souma was sucked into the portal and found himself surrounded by the ministers.

He was brought in front of the king who told him everything about this other world filled with humans, animals, dragons, and other creatures.

However, things have changed after the emergence of demons who had captured a large part of the supercontinent.

Now, the kingdom needs someone who can improve the condition of the nation and fight the demons.
