Now that the first perfect score of the season has been awarded, the pressure has been amped up to a new level for the Season 27 “Dancing With the Stars” teams to impress both the judges and the viewers ahead of their Week 4 Trios dances.

Teams have been working hard all week on trio routines—ones which incorporate a third dancer, as they prepare to say goodbye to another pair on the ABC series. While some teams opted for former fan favorites and champs from previous seasons of “DWTS” to be their new partners, others are bringing in friends from their lives outside the studio and hoping that these people, who also presumably have no prior experience in dance, will be able to help them boost their scores with the judges and potentially keep their spot in the competition.

Teams will have to work harder than ever as the competition quickly hurdles towards its midway point. Here’s how they spent the week rehearsing and hoping they’ll be able to see things through to get to that point.

Team Chernando

After getting the first perfect score of the season, Juan Pablo and Cheryl are hoping to continue that streak of perfection with their Trio Cha Cha, which will feature Season 15 All-Stars champion Melissa Rycroft. In a post on his Instagram, Juan Pablo showed the three having fun posing in honor of their routine’s song, while Cheryl shared a look of them practicing the routine on the ballroom floor. In that shot, the “Fuller House” star has his partner bent at the waist in front of him, while Rycroft leans in on the side with an extended leg.

Team Witlo

While Milo and Witney haven’t shared a look at their actual Salsa routine with Riker Lynch, they have each shared a look at their trio all posed together. While Milo captioned an image of them with “Fuego,” Witney asked their fans to reveal how excited they were to see the trio routine.

Team Fire and Flames

Despite high scores, Tinsahe and Brandon found themselves in jeopardy last week, and will likely be doing anything possible to ensure they don’t potentially face elimination this week. Sure enough, they’ve been hard at work with Amy Purdy as they rehearse their tango with the Season 18 runner-up.

Team Kevanna

After getting their highest scores yet in Week 3, Evanna and Keo will try to achieve perfection with a Salsa. They are being joined on the floor by her “Harry Potter” co-star Scarlett Byrne. While Keo showed a look at the girls having fun during rehearsal, Evanna shared a peek at their routine, as the actresses dance in front of their pro.

Team RenTen

Though it’s not a look at their Tango, Alan shared that he and Alexis were pretty excited to be dancing with Maddie Ziegler in their routine.

Team WaresOurMirrorball

In a short video clip on his Instagram, DeMarcus Ware showed that he, Lindsay, and Season 24 champ Rashad Jennings are in it to win it with their Paso Doblé, as they seemed perfectly in sync during their rehearsals.

Team Stick It

Mary Lou and Sasha are using both her and Nastia Liukin’s gymnastics pasts to full advantage in their Charleston. Mary Lou shared a look at one trick, where she is wrapped around Sasha’s waist as Nastia leans back with her legs around his neck. Meanwhile, Sasha showed another impressive trick, where the women were reversed.

Team Beauty And The Geek

Things are looking up for Bobby and Sharna, and their routine with Lindsey Stirling looks to be a solid one. While Bobby teased that he might be up to his old antics in a post on his Instagram, while Sharna showed a look at all three of them as they worked on dancing.

Team Super Duke

They’re not showing a look at their routine, but John and Emma are certainly excited to be working with Joey Fatone on their dance.

Team CHECK us OUT

They have consistently had the lowest scores, but Joe and Jenna are willing to gamble on their next routine by incorporating someone else with no dance experience into their routine. However, they could be betting that fellow “Bachelor” alum Jordan Kimball could score them even more votes from the rabid Bachelor Nation fan base, which will secure them a spot in the competition for at least a few more weeks.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
