Game of Thrones
Here’s how to watch the Season 7 premiere of “Game of Thrones” for free. HBO

The Season 7 premiere of “Game of Thrones” is finally here, and thankfully, fans who don’t have a cable subscription of their own can still watch with the rest of us (and they won’t have to beg their friends for their cable log-ins to do it either).

As HBO shows become even more of cult phenoms--especially “Thrones,” which is a worldwide smash and hit a series high in the U.S. with 8.9 million viewers during the Season 6 finale last year)-- the demand for access to their shows continues to grow. However, the HBO subscription service is only available to those who also subscribe to their local cable television service provider. Now though, there are other ways for those same people to also enjoy the show, and unlike those who pay for the privilege of HBO access through their cable bill, these options are all free.

So if you don’t have a cable subscription, don’t fear. Here are all the way you can still watch the Season 7 premiere of “Game of Thrones:”

Amazon: Amazon Prime members who are “Game of Thrones” fans are getting double the treats this week. Though Prime Day is over, members can still get access to the Season 7 premiere of “Game of Thrones” by signing up for Amazon Channels, which gives them access to HBO. The free trial period is only a short seven days however, before you will need to pay $14.99 a month,

Free Access For College Students: If you’re a student in college, you’re potentially in luck, as 70 different schools will provide free HBO Go to their students (with some restrictions). HBO Now: The newest streaming service by HBO is available without having a cable or satellite subscription, and new users can get one month free when they sign up. Perfect timing right now, no? However, be aware that after the first month, there will be a charge of $14.99, so you may need to shell out some cash to finish the season out. To access the service, download the HBO Now app from either the iTunes Store, Google Play, Amazon or on Roku.

Hulu: Hulu has recently added access to HBO streaming to both new and existing accounts, and like HBO Now, the first month is free, with a charge of $14.99 a month afterwards. This will however include the cost of a Hulu subscription as well, so existing accounts will still need to pay either their $7.99 a month for streaming with commercials or $11.99 a month for no commercials. New Hulu subscribers will also get a month free as well.

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 premieres tonight at 9 p.m. EDT on HBO.
