The alleged HP Elite X3 is a new phablet from the company that will run on Windows 10 Mobile OS. It is expected to get unleashed at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 tech event.

HP Elite X3 is codenamed as HP Falcon. Tech2, a Hungarian tech site has revealed several images of the HP Elite X3, WM Power User reported. Since it is packed with high-end specs, it is expected to take on the most powerful Windows 10 smartphone, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL.

The HP Elite X3 will be arriving with a 5.96-inch display that will support a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It will be fueled by Snapdragon 820 and 4 GB of RAM. It will be coming with a native storage of 32 GB. On its external storage, users will be able to add up to 200 GB of microSD.

The rear panel is expected to house a 16-megapixel camera whereas its selfie camera will be of 8-megapixel. It will also feature a USB 3.0 Type-C port that will carry support for Qi-wireless charging. An iris scanner is expected to be placed below the display of the device. The Elite X3 is also speculated to feature a fingerprint scanner.

The HP Elite X3 is also predicted to come with a special docking connection. Even though Microsoft has not confirmed it, speculations suggest that it will support Continuum feature. The thickness of the Elite X3 is only 7.8 mm.

Since it is an IP67 certified phablet, it will be resistant to damages from contact with dust and water. The MIL-STD-810G rating for HP Elite X3 ensures that it will remain undamaged even if its dropped from a height of 1 meter. The size of the battery of HP Elite X3 is not known yet.
