There are plenty of anxious mobile phone users out there eager to see just how good the Huawei Mate X really is. The curiosity is apparently raised because of the foldable nature of the device, all of which are expected to be revealed on March 24 at its 2019 Mobile World Congress media event starting at 8 a.m. EST.

For those who do not want to wait, some images of what to expect on the Huawei Mate X have now spread over social media. Although it is not the actual phone that was shared, the banner and its many shapes have been brought out to the open by @Gimme2pm via Twitter.

As can be seen on the banner that was being put up, it clearly shows how the Huawei Mate X comes with a flexible screen that folds outwards. From a single display, the device transforms from a smartphone into the size of a tablet.

The Huawei Mate X is far different from the Samsung Fold which has one smartphone-sized display that is folded in and unfolds like a book to show a second and larger tablet-like screen, Android Authority reported.

Sadly, the other potential features that the Huawei Mate X will offer remain under wraps. For now, folks who may be considering the device can use the grapevine for the unofficial specs.

Among the murmurs surrounding the Huawei Mate X include a device powered by a Huawei Kirin 980 chipset, a Balong 5000 modem and something that would support 5G connectivity.

Aside from that, there are also suggestions that it will sport a triple-rear camera, a fingerprint scanner located at the side and possibly a notch up front, BGR.com reported. There is no official word yet on the battery it will come with as well as storage options as of this writing.

Confirmation, as well as some of the other pertinent specs, should be known soon with the Huawei press event scheduled this Sunday in Barcelona, Spain. The company is also expected to expound on the 5G vision and likely to unveil other consumer products for the market.

With new foldable phones in the market, it will be interesting if the Huawei Mate X has musted enough to overshadow Samsung. It is all likely to boil down to which offers the best design and value for their money.
