The US-China trade war put Chinese tech giant Huawei in a very difficult situation. The ban prevents that company from using Google apps, which means all Huawei devices will be released without pre-installed Google apps. It seems that this has not stopped the Chinese tech giant from achieving its goals because recently, it teases its plans for next year with a new design for Huawei P40 and an upgraded Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone.

Huawei CEO Richard Yu, in a recent interview with Franroid, shared several details about the company’s plan for 2020, including some of the products that will be released in the early part of 2020. The Huawei P40 series will arrive in the late part of Mar. 2020 and will be launched at an event in Paris, France, the CEO revealed.

The Huawei P40 series will be more powerful, will offer improved battery life, and even better camera configuration, the CEO said. Huawei P30 already introduced one of the best camera specs of the year, making it interesting to see how the Chinese tech giant improves the camera specs of the upcoming Huawei Mate P40 series. Additionally, the CEO teased that the upcoming flagship smartphone will offer a never before seen design in the smartphone world.

While we have no idea what the CEO is implying about the design of the Huawei P40, there is a chance that we will all be surprised about its design at the official unveiling. Earlier reports revealed that Huawei P40 would have EMUI 10 and Android 10 as well as support for Huawei Mobile Services. It is also anticipated that the flagship smartphone will be released without any Google services.

In other Huawei news, CEO Richard Yu also shared some details about Huawei Mate X. A couple of months earlier, the company released the foldable smartphone in China after a series of delays. However, the device is getting an upgrade in 2020, The CEO claims.

The foldable smartphone will have a better hinge and will house Kirin 990. Huawei Mate X will have a more resistant display, probably against scratches. The upgraded Huawei Mate X will be unveiled at MWC 2020.
