After having a superb 2019, Billie Eilish has started the new year with a bang by getting a plethora of nominations at the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The singer leads the pack with eight nods while fellow musician Lizzo was a close second with six nominations.

According to the organization, the 18-year-old singer has been nominated in almost all the major categories, including Song of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. Her song “Bad Guy” will be up against songs like “Old Town Road” (Lil Nas X), “Truth Hurts” (Lizzo), “Señorita” (Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes) and “Sucker” (Jonas Brothers).

Meanwhile, in the Female Artist of the Year category, Eilish would face stiff competition from big names like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Halsey and Lizzo. Eilish’s “Bad Guy” is also one of the top contenders to win the Alternative Rock Song of the Year trophy and will fight it out for the accolade with Lana Del Rey’s “Doin Time,” “The Hype” by Twenty One Pilots, Cage The Elephant’s “Ready To Let You Go and “Trampoline” by Shaed.

Eilish continues to dominate the award season with the eight nods. She is nominated across six categories at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year. In 2019, she also became the youngest female musician to get her hands on Billboard’s Woman of the Year award.

Another breakout star of 2019, Lizzo continued her golden run in the music industry be nabbing six nods, including Song of the Year and Best New Pop Artist. In that particular category, she will be up against Ava Max, Fletcher, Lewis Capaldi and Lil Nas X to win the coveted trophy.

On the other hand, Spotify’s second most-streamed artist of the decade, Ed Sheeran, will be competing for the Male Artist of the Year alongside Post Malone, Khalid, Shawn Mendes and Luke Combs.
