KEY POINTS

  • Notetaking can be done easily through iPhones and iPads
  • However, the instant Notes app feature needs to be setup first before using it
  • Users will need to visit the Settings app and customize how the Notes app will help when used instantly

Sometimes, some things need to be written down instantly and all you have is your smartphone or tablet. Apple has introduced a feature which allows iPhone and iPad users to immediately bring up the Notes app. However, this feature needs to be setup before using this feature consistently.

Instant Notes

To start using instant notes for any occasion, open the Settings app and proceed to the Control Center options. Once inside, looks for the Customization Controls to check for the tools that are currently running on the iPhone or iPad. Make sure the “+” icon near the Notes is ticked on and send the app to a preferred location in the list.

Lock Screen Access

Much like the phone buttons app, the Notes app could also been placed in the lock screen and be used immediately. To do this, go to the Settings menus again and look for the Notes options. The “Access Notes from Lock Screen” will have the options to make the app appear on the lock screen as the feature is intuitively named.

Notes Style

While still in the Notes options, users can also change the way it behaves when opened. It could be set to always make fresh notes when opened or resume the previous note.

Accessing From Lock

Once the Notes has been set like this, it could be easily accessed through the notepad and pencil icon in the lock screen. From then on, the Notes app can work like this until it is turned off through the Settings app again.
