Reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared fresh information about the new iPhones that will be arriving this year. He has revealed that Apple will be releasing successor models for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. However, he did not share any information about whether the company will be launching the successor for the iPhone SE in 2019. Hence, it appears that the company is unlikely to launch it this year.

Citing information received from Kuo, Mac Rumors reported that the 2019 iPhone portfolio will include 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED models and another model with a 6.1-inch LCD screen. These iPhones will be arriving as the successors for the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR that were released last year.

He added that the successor edition of the iPhone XR may come with 4GB of RAM. All three models arriving this year are expected to be equipped with frosted glass casing and bigger batteries. The upcoming iPhones are also expected to carry support for reverse wireless charging.

The 2019 iPhones have been rumored to carry support new GPS technology for enhanced indoor navigation. While the company switched to USB-C ports on iPad Pro models that were released in 2018, the forthcoming iPhones are likely to retain the Lightning connectors. Some rumors have claimed that the 2019 iPhones will have smaller display notches. However, Kuo has claimed that they have same-sized notches. His report on the upcoming iPhones have vital details on their features, but sadly he did not share information on the existence of the iPhone SE 2.

Apple fans are also expecting to see the iPhone SE 2 this year. In March 2016, the Cupertino company had released the 4-inch iPhone SE with an attractive price tag of $399. The smartphone was well received by critics and audiences mainly because of its compact size and cheaper price tag compared to the bigger iPhone models. The iPhone SE was discontinued in 2018. However, its now back through an online clearance sale with a price tag of $249, Apple Insider reported. This indicates that the cheaper and smaller iPhone is still popular among people.

The rumor mill has been speculating on the features of the iPhone SE 2 over the past years. However, there is no concrete evidence on whether or not it will be arriving this year.
