Ivanka Trump is mourning the death of her mother Ivana Trump, who died Thursday at the age of 73.

The 40-year-old daughter of Ivana and Donald Trump posted an emotional tribute to her mom on Instagram and Twitter, along with a series of sweet throwback photos of them.

Ivanka said she was “heartbroken” over her mother’s death, describing her as charming, strong and “wickedly funny.”

“Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She modeled strength, tenacity and determination in her every action. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” the “Apprentice” alum wrote.

She added, "I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always."

In a statement obtained by ABC News Thursday, the Trump family, including Ivana’s sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, described the late mother-of-three as “an incredible woman” and “survivor.”

“She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and 10 grandchildren,” the family said.

The former president also released a statement on his first wife's passing via his social media platform Truth Social.

“She was a wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!” he wrote in his statement.

Ivana and Donald divorced in 1992 after 15 years of marriage. He went on to marry Marla Maples in 1993 and welcome daughter Tiffany Trump with the actress, but their marriage also ended in divorce in 1999. The former president married his third wife, Melania Trump, in 2005, and they welcomed son Barron, now 16.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) said Ivana was found unconscious at the bottom of her staircase in her Upper East Side apartment in New York City and was pronounced dead at the scene, ABC News reported. She was reportedly discovered by Manhattan paramedics who were responding to a call for “cardiac arrest” just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police continue to investigate if Ivana fell from the stairs and whether it contributed to her death. But the NYPD said there did not "appear to be any criminality" related to Ivana's death.

A medical examiner will identify the cause of her death, authorities said.

Ivana was a former supermodel and successful business tycoon who launched her own clothing line and beauty products. She also had an advice column called “Ask Ivana” and published several books, including her bestselling autobiography “Raising Trump” in 2017.
