  • Twitter users accused Ivanka of romanticizing tragedy in one of her posts on Twitter

Ivanka Trump looked stunning for the SpaceX Crew Dragon launch, but the event was canceled.

On Wednesday, the first daughter stepped out and was seen leaving her home in Washington D.C.past 9:30 a.m. Ivanka was with her daughter Arabella, 8, and son, Joseph, 6.

Ivanka was stunning in her $1,790 white Lela Rose midi dress. She paired her outfit with a mask printed with yellow flowers. Ivanka’s kids were also wearing face masks.

Ivanka looked ready for summer. Her daughter was as pretty as her in her matching white dress.

However, shortly after the said sighting, Ivanka shared that the event was canceled. She took to Twitter to update her followers about the event.

“The launch of the SpaceX Crew Dragon to the ISS was scrubbed 17 minutes before the scheduled launch due to inclement weather,” she wrote.

“Leaving Kennedy Space Center now ... disappointing, but safety first! Launch will be rescheduled!”

Ivanka’s post received negative reactions from her followers and critics. Several mocked her because the taxpayers supposedly pay for their outing.

“Why are we paying for your family vacation? 100,000 dead is the price for your family’s incompetence and self dealing,” one wrote.

“Another unnecessary taxpayer-funded trump family trip,” @asunshineyday commented.

“Launch trump into space and leave him there in the next trials on Saturday!!!!” another added.

Just recently, Ivanka was also accused of romanticizing someone’s tragedy.

The first daughter is fond of sharing inspiring videos. However, many were not happy when she shared the article about 15-year-old Jyoti Kumari who carried her father from Gurugram to Bihar. She cycled for 1,200 kilometers in seven days to reach his native place.

It happened amid the lockdown and Ivanka praised the girl’s endurance and love for her dad. However, many felt that she was romanticizing the girl’s tragedy.

“Romanticism of poverty and misery during a pandemic! The worst kind of apathy!” @alindaMjan commented.

However, several also defended Ivanka because they knew that she didn’t mean any harm or insult in her post.

“She was just praising the love of daughter for her father. At 15 years of age she has show so much courage and bravery. It's not required to find flaws in everything,” one wrote.
