  • Jake Paul's next fight could be against an MMA fighter
  • Paul's coach is confident that his ward can get a third win in boxing
  • Tarver and Shields call out Paul for a boxing match

YouTuber Jake Paul is at an obvious all-time high right now after his devastating knockout on Nate Robinson recently.

It was officially his second win in boxing, but most point out that he has yet to face a real boxer in the ring.

But if the recent take of Paul’s trainer BJ Flores is an indication, sharing the ring with an actual boxer is not yet in the cards. It appears he is pushing for another fight, but this time it will be against a mixed martial arts fighter, per the report from Boxingscene.

"People don’t realize Jake can really punch. Nobody even got to see the technical side last night. Jake has a lot more tools in the bag. I want him in there with a real MMA fighter next. These other influencers/trained pro athletes don’t stand a chance," Flores said.

With that in mind, the names of Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis ring a bell. Paul has been angling to face either fighter, but nothing has gained ground.

However, Paul may also want to be careful about what he wishes for.

MMA personalities gave their take on the chances of Paul in a previous post. Daniel Cormier and Ariel Herwani weighed in on the 23-year-old’s chances against McGregor and Danis.

Of the two, he has better chances of winning against the latter, according to Cormier and Helwani.

McGregor, on the other hand, has a boxing match to his credit. Though he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr., he proved that he has what it takes to be in the squared-circle.

Also, the experience from that gives the Irishman the edge against someone who has not exactly impressive in the eyes of boxing pundits.

Two pugilists have come forward, wanting a piece of the YouTuber.

Antonio Tarver is practically begging Mike Tyson to book a fight with Paul. The former boxing champion wants to avenge Robinson’s debacle and show the internet sensation what boxing is all about.

On the part of Claressa Shields, she feels that trading leather with an actual boxer may help Paul realize what he got himself into.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist is hardly impressed with Paul and how he is fighting non-experience boxing individuals in the ring.
