Jake Paul's mansion in Calabasas, California, was raided by the FBI on Wednesday morning after obtaining a search warrant. It's unclear at this time if or how the search relates to the YouTube influencer.

After the reports surfaced, the FBI issued a statement that gave additional context to the development.

"The FBI is executing a federal search warrant at a residence in Calabasas in connection with an ongoing investigation. The affidavit in support of the search warrant has been sealed by a judge and I am, therefore, prohibited from commenting as to the nature of the investigation. No arrests are planned," the FBI said, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The search effort required a lot of backup as TMZ reported that "a small militia left his pad in armored trucks." Several men wearing "SWAT and/or tactical gear" were also seen around Paul's residence and at least 20 people were spotted on the ground while the search warrant was being executed.

While it remains unclear why law enforcement officials decided to visit the former Disney Channel star's home, Paul, who is the younger brother of fellow YouTuber Logan Paul, has been involved in a range of controversial events this year. Most recently, the 23-year-old vlogger found himself in trouble with the law in June after trespassing at a looted Arizona mall, and last month, he was criticized for hosting a large house party amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

It is unknown if Paul was home during the raid and if any property or evidence was taken.
