Jamie Foxx has reacted to Kanye West’s presidential run announcement, and he wasn’t enthusiastic about the rapper joining the political arena.

West announced on Saturday (July 4) that he will be running for president. Former NBA player Stephen Jackson immediately took to Instagram and slammed the “Famous” rapper’s decision by sharing a snap of DJ Hed’s tweet.

“No more voting for celebrities who’ve never held public office. If you wouldn’t hire a plumber to work on the electrical wiring in your house why would you vote this way? America’s obsession with fame/celebrity is the end game,” DJ Hed wrote on Twitter.

Jackson also shared his thoughts in the caption of his post.

“Kanye Trump. Fool u once shame on them fool u twice u and 2x fool,” he wrote and added that that he has had enough of the “clown [explicit].”

Jackson’s post received several reactions from other celebrities including Foxx.

“Gottdamn right!!! Ain’t got time for the bulls—-t!!!” the actor-singer wrote.

Foxx and West are good friends. The two artists even collaborated for West’s song “Gold Digger.” Thus, many were wondering if they had a falling-out.

“Wait so you don’t like Kanye then. Don’t u have a song with him tho?” one asked.

“I thought Kanye was your man,” another user added.

“You don’t have to be at odds to tell the truth. call em out on the BS,” another opined.

A different netizen defended Foxx and explained that the “Django Unchained” star probably appreciates West’s talent in music, but he is not confident in the latter running the country.

“How do you figure he doesn’t like Kanye because he disagrees with him being the president of the U.S,” wuterwurld83 wrote.

“Yes they have a song together and I’m sure they are probably friends ...but that doesn’t mean he wants his talented MUSICAL friend with no background or experience in politics to run America.”

In 2017, Foxx recalled his first meeting with West that happened during a party at his house. “This kid walks in with a backpack on, and his jaw busted,” Foxx said of West.

Kim Kardashian’s husband told the Oscar winner that he was a rapper. Foxx then asked him to freestyle and was impressed.

“Wow, boy. You're gonna be famous,” Foxx told West at the time.
